Candice and her late husband Les moved to Airdrie in 2005, welcoming their first child in 2006 and second in 2007. Candice has watched the city grow from 25,000 to now more than 90,000 residents. She raised her children here, opened her own business, Airdrie is home for her family.

From cheering in the stands at soccer, volleyball, basketball and of course football- Candice understands the needs of young families. One of her fondest 'first time' council moments was advocating for a change from metal toilets in the Nose Creek Park washrooms (if you know you know). She filled a need for young moms at that time who didn't have a voice on Airdrie Council.
Prior to her Airdrie City Council service & opening her own business, Candice worked with persons with disabilities One of her most rewarding jobs was in inclusive support and care.

In 2023 Candice won the Airdrie Amazing Women's award for Amazing Legacy. Humbled that her friends and colleagues felt her contribution to the community should be noticed. Candice doesn't do the things she does for recognition or attention. In fact you can often see her running away from the camera rather than in front of it. To win an award in a room full of deserving, strong and truly Amazing women with her daughter present was an experience she will always be grateful for.
